Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor and record vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition
• Document care thoroughly and communicate findings in handoff reports
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Support patients and families with education, comfort, and emotional reassurance
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfer processes as needed

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (NH preferred or eligible to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtainable prior to start
• Prior experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or med-surg settings is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to meet the physical demands of nursing and maintain professional documentation

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) or equivalent completed from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in basic nursing assessments and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration knowledge and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with wound care, ADL assistance, and resident-centered care
• Comfort using electronic medical records and completing accurate charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
• Time management and prioritization skills for a fast-paced clinical setting

This is an 8-week travel assignment based in Bedford, a great New Hampshire hub. Enjoy easy access to outdoor fun at nearby Lake Massabesic for walking and birdwatching, local trails and parks for weekend hikes, and charming downtown Manchester just minutes away for dining, coffee shops, and cultural spots. For longer weekend escapes, the scenic White Mountains and popular ski areas are about two hours away, and Boston is an easy drive for city attractions.
