Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in a 32-bed MSICU with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Manage advanced life support and emergent situations while following ACLS and BLS protocols
• Operate and manage CRRT therapy safely and effectively for patients requiring renal support
• Perform procedures such as intubations and central/line placements as appropriate to scope and training
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in Meditech
• Collaborate with RNs, nurse externs, charge RN, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Contribute to a strong patient experience by practicing ICARE principles and unit guidelines
• Help onboard and utilize new bedside monitors and equipment to optimize patient safety

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (state licensure required)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (explicitly requested)
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Hands-on experience with CRRT, intubations, and line placements
• Experience with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
• Comfort working 12-hour day shifts and meeting contract/FTE scheduling requirements
• Ability to float per hospital needs and work collaboratively in a fast-paced ICU

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and ICU patient assessment
• CRRT setup, troubleshooting, and monitoring
• Airway management and intubation support
• Central line insertion support and post-procedure care
• Meditech electronic documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with Philips monitors and Alaris infusion pumps
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
