Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care for a diverse patient population
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly recognize arrhythmias or changes in patient status
• Perform thorough assessments, prioritize care, and implement nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following policy and best practices
• Conduct stroke assessments using NIHSS when indicated and escalate concerns rapidly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Participate in competency validation including Trinity skills and specialty-specific testing

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or eligibility for Ohio licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required or ability to obtain prior to start
• Experience in Med/Surg and telemetry nursing (experience level as applicable)
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty competency testing as required
• Successful license and credential verification and required health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and active RN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Skilled in medication administration and IV management
• Familiarity with stroke assessment tools (NIHSS) and emergency response
• Proficient documentation in electronic health records and clear communication skills
• Infection control practices and ability to complete required fit testing and screenings
