Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate all aspects of surgical patient care within scope of practice
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders and standing protocols accurately
• Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education
• Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate tasks to ensure safe, efficient care
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation of patient status and interventions
• Support unit operations by taking on other clinically relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in the State of Wyoming (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain within 60 days
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required if taking call or administering conscious sedation; may be obtained within six months
• CNOR certification preferred
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Ability to learn new computer software and work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management and problem solving skills
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical, legal accountability
• Completion of annual required CEUs
