Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (overnight); includes weekend coverage with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor neonates using evidence-based neonatal assessment techniques to ensure optimal outcomes
- Manage IV lines and medication administration safely and accurately for fragile infants
- Provide and titrate respiratory support, including ventilator and non-invasive modalities, to meet each infant’s needs
- Perform family-centered care and communicate clearly with parents to support bonding and satisfaction
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Accurately document patient care in the EMR (Meditech & CPN) to maintain continuity and compliance
- Perform or assist with unit procedures as indicated (e.g., central line management, lumbar puncture support, circumcision and eye exams)
Qualifications
- Active RN license (must be eligible to work in Texas for this travel assignment)
- NRP and BLS certifications (required)
- Minimum two years of NICU experience (must-have per unit profile)
- Demonstrated competency in infant assessment, IV management and respiratory support management
- Familiarity with Meditech and CPN charting systems
- Comfort working nights and a flexible approach to weekend scheduling
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong neonatal assessment and stabilization skills
- Proficiency in IV/central line care and neonatal medication administration
- Experience with respiratory support management for neonates
- Knowledge of NICU equipment and monitoring systems
- Experience working in Level 3/4 NICU environments preferred
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and family‑centered care orientation
