Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, overnight schedule with every third weekend rotation (night)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for medical-surgical orthopedic patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Deliver post-operative care, monitor recovery, and escalate changes in condition
- Document care clearly in the electronic medical record and communicate with the care team
- Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and other clinicians to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with verification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Familiarity with Medical-Surgical Orthopedics; prior med-surg or ortho experience preferred
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
- Ability to meet facility health and screening requirements including fit test, drug screen, immunizations, and physical/health statement
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Post-operative orthopedic care and mobility support
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Proficiency with documentation and electronic medical records
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with NIHSS for neurological assessment
- Commitment to infection control and patient safety practices
