Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) with dignity
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team to ensure timely interventions
- Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care accurately and promptly to maintain clear communication across the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with therapists and licensed nurses to support individualized care and rehabilitation goals
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or T-CNA certification required
- Active BLS/CPR certification (recommended or required per facility policy)
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S. (follow facility credentialing requirements)
- Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and providing hands-on patient care
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and knowledge of ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Familiarity with infection control standards and safe patient handling
- Basic clinical observation skills — recognizing and reporting changes
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Reliable documentation and basic charting skills
