Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, label and dispense medications accurately, following established protocols
• Maintain medication inventory and restock supplies to support uninterrupted patient care
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and nursing staff to prioritize patient safety
• Document medication dispensing and related activities in the electronic system with attention to detail
• Participate in required skills checklists and competency verifications to ensure high standards
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including fit testing and required health screenings
• Assist with medication reconciliation and support timely turnaround for dispensing needs

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• NRP certification (required)
• TNCC certification (required)
• License/certificate verification completed prior to start (per site requirements)
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist or equivalent competency verification
• Successful fit test and 10-panel drug screen required
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza, 2-step PPD or IGRA, and varicella
• Physical/health statement clearance
• Pharmacy Technician certification or state registration preferred
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Pharmacy Technician certification or related post-secondary training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication preparation and dispensing best practices
• Inventory management and supply chain basics for clinical settings
• Familiarity with electronic medication records and documentation
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with pharmacists, nurses and providers
• Ability to follow strict safety and infection control protocols
• Comfort working in fast-paced, patient-focused environments with rotating shifts
