Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' mobility, function, and rehabilitation needs to create targeted care plans
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs that promote recovery and independence
- Document patient progress and update care plans in a timely, professional manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility strategies
- Monitor and adjust treatments based on patient response and clinical best practices
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) — ability to obtain/maintain California licensure is expected
- Comfort working in an active rehab setting and providing care across the week
- Strong clinical reasoning and hands-on treatment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy accepted
- State licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in physical therapy evaluations and developing measurable goals
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and restorative techniques
- Proficient documentation and charting practices
- Ability to instruct and motivate patients of diverse backgrounds
- Sound knowledge of safety, fall prevention, and mobility aides
- Comfort collaborating with nursing and rehab teams to coordinate care
