Roles & Responsibilities

• Answer call lights promptly and respond with compassion and professionalism
• Assist residents with activities of daily living — toileting, transferring, bathing and grooming
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and other resident data accurately
• Report any changes in resident condition to the nurse in a timely manner
• Support resident safety and comfort through attentive care and safe transfer techniques
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the charge nurse
• Meet resident needs efficiently and respectfully, preserving dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• 1+ years of related long-term care experience preferred
• Exceptional accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Comfortable performing ADLs, taking vitals and weights, and assisting with transfers
• Willingness to work the 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM PM shift and every other weekend

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) assistance
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Patient/resident transfers and safe mobility techniques
• Toileting, bathing, grooming and personal care
• Answering call lights and prioritizing resident requests
• Resident safety practices and reporting procedures
• Recognizing and reporting changes in condition and allegations of abuse/neglect
• Attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in documentation
