Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up specialized interventional radiology equipment and ensure all devices are ready for procedures
• Serve as room circulator and scrub when needed, maintaining a sterile field throughout interventions
• Operate and manage Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) during vascular procedures
• Support a wide range of procedures including endovascular interventions, angiography, embolization, biopsies and drainages
• Document procedures accurately using Epic charting to support continuity of care
• Respond promptly to on-call notifications (30-minute response time) and provide safe, efficient patient care during calls
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to anticipate needs, maintain supplies, and optimize workflow
• Assist with patient prep and post-procedure care, prioritizing patient comfort and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant interventional radiology experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting (required)
• Demonstrated sterile technique and experience as scrub and/or circulator
• Experience with Vascular Closure Systems such as Perclose and StarClose
• ACLS and BLS certifications preferred
• Ability to respond to on-call assignments and work weekends as part of rotation
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and attention to procedural detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional Radiology procedures and endovascular interventions
• Epic (EHR) charting and clinical documentation
• Sterile technique, scrub and room circulation roles
• Equipment setup, troubleshooting and inventory management
• Vascular procedures: angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization
• Genitourinary and abdominal procedures such as nephrostomy, gastrostomy, liver biopsy
• Inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement/removal and related imaging
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
