Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients thoroughly and develop individualized outpatient treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve strength, range of motion, balance, safety, and function
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and long-term self-care
- Document evaluations, progress, and discharge plans clearly and timely
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
- Adjust treatment approaches based on patient response and emerging clinical needs
Qualifications
- Current Colorado PT licensure (DORA) or eligible via the PT Compact for Colorado
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience; 3–5 years preferred (outpatient experience a plus)
- Flu vaccination required (or agree to obtain prior to or during assignment)
- Strong patient communication and documentation skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (as specified by the employer)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient evaluation and developing treatment plans
- Expertise in range of motion (ROM) assessment and balance training
- Experience prescribing and teaching home exercise programs
- Familiarity with outpatient physical therapy workflows and documentation
- Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage a busy outpatient schedule
- Collaborative approach to working with families and interdisciplinary teams
