Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-Ray/fluoroscopic exams to support accurate diagnosis
• Independently operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic images for provider interpretation
• Position patients safely and effectively while adhering to radiation safety protocols
• Complete timely and accurate documentation for interpretation, archiving, and billing
• Assist medical staff in other departments during procedures as needed to ensure excellent patient care
• Manage ancillary duties related to exam distribution, billing, and archival processes
• Retrieve and verify orders and patient information to ensure exams are performed correctly
• Maintain equipment, learn new imaging applications, and follow DNV and facility requirements

Qualifications

• Current CT certification (ARRT CT) required; must be CT certified prior to start
• Montana Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Graduate of an accredited radiology program (CAHEA or equivalent)
• American Heart Association BLS (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
• Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience
• Associate or Bachelor degree in health care related studies preferred

Education

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program (required)
• Associate or Bachelor degree in health care related studies (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong image acquisition and fluoroscopy skills
• Excellent patient positioning and radiation safety practices
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and archiving abilities
• Comfortable learning and using current computer imaging applications
• Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to perform well in a busy, high-reliability environment
• Sound judgment, discretion, and a patient-centered approach
