Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses with precision
• Perform assessments, document findings, and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective care
• Support patient and family education and provide clear discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and follow facility policies
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and procedures as needed to keep the unit running smoothly

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (New Mexico or applicable compact/multi-state license)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS/PALS a plus
• Relevant clinical experience in acute care or rehab settings preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, reliability, and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work overnight hours and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid skills in medication administration and monitoring
• Patient assessment and early recognition of clinical changes
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Basic wound care, IV site monitoring (as applicable to licensure), and care coordination
• Strong communication skills and teamwork under pressure
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
