Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility policy
• Perform accurate assessments and document patient status and interventions in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists and support staff to create and execute care plans
• Support patient and family education to promote understanding and recovery
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards at all times
• Participate in effective shift handoffs and communicate changes in patient condition promptly

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
• Clinical experience in acute or rehab settings preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring with clinical confidence
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Wound care, hygiene assistance and basic clinical procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records and timely charting
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to changing patient needs
• Teamwork, empathy, and strong patient/family communication
