Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate cardiac cath and angio imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare patients and maintain a sterile field for interventional radiology and cath lab procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures by handling imaging tools, contrast, and supplies
• Monitor patient status and support ACLS/BLS protocols when needed
• Optimize radiation safety practices for patients and staff during fluoroscopic procedures
• Accurately document procedures, images, and patient information in the electronic record
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Current ARRT RT(R) credential (required)
• Current, unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Healthcare Provider BLS (required)
• AHA ACLS (required)
• One year of experience or training in a Cath Lab/Angio hospital setting preferred
• Comfort working in fast-paced interventional suites and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology procedures
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy and angiographic imaging systems
• Knowledge of sterile technique, vascular access processes, and contrast administration
• Radiation safety principles and dose reduction strategies
• Excellent patient positioning, monitoring, and communication skills
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with common healthcare EMR workflows
• Teamwork, situational awareness, and the ability to anticipate procedural needs
