Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough admission interviews and perform systematic physical assessments for each patient
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process
- Deliver direct patient care and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless services
- Document patient conditions, interventions, and responses clearly and professionally
- Provide targeted patient education and facilitate therapeutic groups to support recovery
- Safely apply and monitor restraints and seclusion when clinically indicated, demonstrating required competency
- Float to Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health and Detox units as needed to support patient care continuity
Qualifications
- Active, valid RN license (state of practice required)
- Behavioral health experience required; chemical dependency nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- CPI training required and competency in restraints/seclusion application and monitoring
- Willingness to float to inpatient adult behavioral health and detox units
- Permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the hospital (per client requirement)
- Not a previous employee of St. Mary’s (per client requirement)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and active RN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong command of the nursing process and clinical assessment skills
- Experience performing admission interviews and systematic physical assessments
- Excellent nursing documentation and clinical charting skills
- Ability to develop and revise patient-centered care plans
- Skilled at patient education and group facilitation in behavioral health settings
- Competency in managing patients in restraint or seclusion with safety and dignity
- Comfort working with adults (15+) with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses
