Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate cancer registry records with attention to detail
• Abstract oncology data into the registry using prescribed standards and guidelines
• Validate and reconcile registry information to ensure high-quality data
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports and support registry documentation
• Collaborate with clinical teams remotely to gather missing data and resolve discrepancies
• Support quality improvement initiatives by identifying data trends and reporting findings

Qualifications

• Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certificate (required)
• Associates degree or equivalent (60 college-level credits) or comparable experience
• At least one year of experience working in a Cancer Registry
• Two years experience using computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet tools
• Comfortable working remotely and communicating effectively across virtual teams

• Cancer Registry processes and best practices
• Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) knowledge and certification-related skills
• Microsoft Word proficiency
