Shift Type: Rotating nights, 9:30 PM - 7:30 AM (10-hour shifts; schedule rotates and may include weekends)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and special laboratory assays across clinical laboratory sections to provide accurate data for diagnosis and treatment
- Process and handle patient specimens with care and according to protocol to ensure specimen integrity
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments following preventive maintenance schedules
- Conduct microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, and bacteriologic assays per established standards
- Execute quality control procedures and document results to maintain laboratory accreditation and patient safety
- Troubleshoot instrument issues and coordinate repairs or vendor support when needed
- Communicate effectively with clinical teams to relay critical lab findings promptly
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (required)
- ASCP — Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (required)
- Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship (required)
- Experience with specimen processing, microscopy, hematology, immunology, bacteriology, and clinical chemistry
- Experience with EPIC is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Able to safely function in a high-elevation environment (~8,000 ft)
Education
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical laboratory assays and specimen handling best practices
- Instrument operation, calibration, and preventive maintenance
- Quality control processes and documentation
- Microscopy techniques and hematology testing
- Immunology, bacteriology, and clinical chemistry methodologies
- Familiarity with EPIC (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and clear communication
