Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; 3 shifts per week (schedule varies; includes at least every 3rd weekend)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret EKG changes to keep patients safe
- Administer medications and manage Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication systems accurately
- Document patient care thoroughly in Meditech-EBCD, maintaining high compliance and quality
- Collaborate with cardiology, cath lab, and stroke teams to coordinate patient-focused care
- Perform and support basic med tele procedures and respond to changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and recovery plans with empathy
- Support unit quality and safety initiatives including central line/foley care and HAI prevention
Qualifications
- Active RN license (compact license accepted as applicable for travel assignments)
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience (telemetry or cardiac experience preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (NIH cert) required
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation and telemetry monitoring
- Comfortable using Alaris pumps, Pyxis, and basic EKG interpretation
- Team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and basic dysrhythmia recognition
- Cardiac nursing principles and post-cath/cardiac procedure care
- Meditech-EBCD clinical documentation best practices
- Experience with Alaris infusion pumps and Pyxis medication systems
- Strong infection prevention practices (central line, foley, C. diff awareness)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced PCU/CCU environment with 4-5:1 patient ratios
