Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret continuous telemetry for cardiac step-down and med/surg telemetry patients to keep care safe and timely
• Provide high-quality bedside care and perform bedside shift rounds/handoff to ensure seamless patient transitions
• Manage cardiac-focused interventions including pacemaker care, cardiac cath pre/post monitoring, and CIWA patients
• Support advanced respiratory care such as high-flow oxygen and BiPAP and assist with chest tube management
• Assist with or support procedures performed on unit like thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis and tracheostomy care
• Document assessments and interventions accurately and efficiently using Meditech Expanse
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, escalation, and safe discharges

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to work in New Hampshire)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience — telemetry or cardiac experience preferred
• Current BLS and ASLS certifications (required)
• Proven proficiency in telemetry monitoring and caring for cardiac/step-down patients
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and covering every-other-weekend rotations
• Experience with Meditech Expanse or similar electronic health record systems is a plus

Education

• Active RN license (state of NH)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Cardiac management and med/surg telemetry nursing
• Hands-on skills: chest tube care, pacemaker and post-cath monitoring, trach care, thoracentesis and PD familiarity
• Respiratory support knowledge: high-flow oxygen, BiPAP
• IV pump and Kangaroo pump operation and troubleshooting
• Strong clinical documentation and bedside handoff skills
• Team communication, prioritization, and patient advocacy
