Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality acute care to adult patients on a short-term acute care unit
• Use Epic to document patient assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns to ensure safety
• Support smooth patient flow through effective communication and timely documentation
• Float within the approved scope to meet staffing needs across like units when requested
• Respect facility policies including holiday coverage expectations and return-staff guidelines

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (first-time travelers accepted)
• Active, valid RN license in the state where you will practice (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Comfortable using Epic for charting and documentation
• Ability and willingness to float within scope to support unit needs
• Current BLS required; ACLS/other certifications preferred as applicable

Education

• Nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN (program completion from an accredited institution)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven acute care nursing skills and strong patient assessment abilities
• Solid clinical documentation practices in Epic
• Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure under pressure
• Familiarity with level III trauma center workflows is a plus
