Shift Type: Monday-Friday (variable days), 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Day (4x10 schedule)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality acute care to adult patients on a short-term acute care unit
- Use Epic to document patient assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns to ensure safety
- Support smooth patient flow through effective communication and timely documentation
- Float within the approved scope to meet staffing needs across like units when requested
- Respect facility policies including holiday coverage expectations and return-staff guidelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (first-time travelers accepted)
- Active, valid RN license in the state where you will practice (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Comfortable using Epic for charting and documentation
- Ability and willingness to float within scope to support unit needs
- Current BLS required; ACLS/other certifications preferred as applicable
Education
- Nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN (program completion from an accredited institution)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven acute care nursing skills and strong patient assessment abilities
- Solid clinical documentation practices in Epic
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain composure under pressure
- Familiarity with level III trauma center workflows is a plus
