Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with care and precision
• Position patients compassionately and explain procedures to put them at ease
• Operate radiologic equipment and ensure images meet clinical standards
• Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and team members
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff for smooth patient flow
• Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation in PACS and reporting systems
• Troubleshoot routine imaging issues and escalate equipment concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred or state-equivalent licensure
• Current state radiology license as required by Louisiana
• Minimum 1 year of clinical radiography experience (per job posting)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
• Strong patient communication skills and a professional, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work evening shifts and adapt to fast-paced hospital settings

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field; ARRT registry or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of radiographic positioning and anatomy
• Proficiency with digital imaging systems and PACS
• Understanding of radiation safety and dose optimization
• Ability to perform a variety of exam types with attention to quality
• Good clinical judgment, documentation skills, and patient-centered care
