Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures including stress tests, PYP imaging and HIDA scans with precision and compassion
• Operate and optimize Siemens imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare patients safely and accurately, including dose calculations, radiopharmaceutical preparation and patient instructions
• Document procedures and findings thoroughly in Meditech and Synapse to support continuity of care
• Adhere to radiation safety, quality control and institutional protocols at all times
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and the broader care team to deliver patient-centered outcomes
• Provide clear patient education and calm reassurance to patients and families before, during and after procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (or equivalent clinical experience)
• Certification or registry as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (e.g., ARRT(N) or NMTCB) preferred or eligible
• Current state licensure as required for practice in Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable using Siemens imaging systems and EMR platforms such as Meditech and Synapse
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program (Associate degree or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures: stress tests, PYP imaging and HIDA scans
• Hands-on experience with Siemens imaging equipment
• Familiarity with Meditech and Synapse EMR documentation
• Radiation safety principles, dose calculations and quality control procedures
• Patient positioning, preparation and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to work independently during daytime procedural shifts and collaborate with a small team
