Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts); schedule includes every-other-week (EOW) coverage and may include nights/weekends as assigned

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality telemetry and Med/Surg nursing care to postoperative and acute patients
- Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and continuous telemetry monitoring to detect changes early
- Manage IV therapy and IV medication administration, including Lasix and heparin drips, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem and insulin (IV & subQ)
- Provide expert wound care, including drain management and VAC therapy
- Care for enteral devices and nutrition needs: NGT/G-tube care and parenteral nutrition management
- Maintain and manage central lines (PICC, HD catheters, midlines) and urinary devices (Foley, nephrostomy, suprapubic)
- Support ostomy and postoperative patient care with attention to recovery and patient education
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Altera/Allscripts Sunrise
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent patient experience and participate in daily MDRs
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience — Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proven skills in IV medication administration and management of continuous drips
- Experience with wound care, drain/VAC management, and postoperative nursing
- Familiarity with central line/PICC care, enteral tube care, ostomy care, and urinary device management
- Comfort with electronic documentation systems (Altera/Allscripts Sunrise) and remote telemetry monitoring
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts and adapt to EOW scheduling
Education
- Active RN licensure required
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Med/Surg nursing fundamentals and postoperative care
- IV therapy and advanced IV medication management
- Wound care, drain care and VAC therapy
- NG/G-tube and enteral/parenteral nutrition care
- Central line, PICC and dialysis catheter care
- Foley, nephrostomy and suprapubic catheter care
- Ostomy care and patient education
- Use of Altera/Allscripts Sunrise for documentation
- Familiarity with Hoyer lifts, automated BP machines, bladder scanners and vein finders
