Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy and other infusions safely and competently
- Assess, monitor and manage infusion-related reactions, transfusions and hydration needs
- Perform port and PICC care, start and maintain IVs, and manage infusion pumps
- Document care accurately and timely in Epic to support continuity and quality
- Educate patients and caregivers about treatment, side-effect management and home care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Provide pain management and medication administration with attention to safety
- Float to other UCSF units and facilities as needed to meet patient care needs
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license (required)
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) (required)
- Minimum 2 years recent adult clinical Oncology Nursing experience (required)
- Minimum 1 year recent outpatient infusion experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy within the last 3 years (required)
- Experience with transfusion therapy, infusion pump management, port and PICC care (required)
- Epic charting experience (required)
- OCN certification and membership in professional organizations (preferred)
- Willingness to float to other UCSF units and facilities as needed
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster per facility guideline (medical/religious exemptions only)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration and IV therapy
- Skill in transfusion therapy and management of blood & blood products
- Proficiency with PICC line care, port care and infusion pump management
- Knowledge of pain management, antivirals, antifungals and antibiotic administration
- Ability to handle body fluids post-chemotherapy and follow safety protocols
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Comfortable charting and clinical documentation in Epic
