Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for rehab patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs
• Coordinate care with therapists and the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery
• Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Educate patients and families on care plans, safety and discharge goals
• Support mobility, ADLs and rehabilitation goals to promote independence
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license (ability to practice in New Mexico required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred where applicable
• Experience in rehabilitation nursing or post-acute care is preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a team-focused environment
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN; diploma or program completion for LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and clinical monitoring
• Knowledge of rehab nursing principles and mobility/safety techniques
• Strong documentation skills in electronic health records
• Ability to collaborate with PT/OT/Speech and other disciplines
• Effective patient/family education and discharge planning
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
