Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient condition, escalating changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Document clinical findings, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely
• Support admissions, discharges and transfers to maintain smooth unit flow
• Advocate for patients and families, delivering education and emotional support

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid for practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recommended or required per facility policy
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide consistent, reliable coverage
• Professional communication skills and comfort working independently overnight
• Travel licensure or ability to obtain state licensure for New Mexico within assignment timeframe

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma, ADN or BSN for RNs) as applicable to licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring abilities
• Medication administration and careful documentation skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage acute situations overnight
• Teamwork and effective communication with clinical and support staff
