Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical function and design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on and therapeutic interventions to maximize patient mobility and independence
- Document clinical findings and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members to coordinate optimal care
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional strategies
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a patient-centered culture
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in Maryland (or eligible to obtain one)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
- Experience in outpatient/rehab settings preferred; confident treating a broad adult caseload
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work full-time day shift coverage and manage a varied patient load
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's in Physical Therapy accepted if applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in musculoskeletal assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Experience with gait training, balance interventions, and functional mobility training
- Comfortable using common modalities and assistive devices to advance patient outcomes
- Clear and compassionate communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Proficient documentation skills and ability to learn facility EMR systems quickly
- Time management and caseload prioritization to deliver efficient, high-quality care
