Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical function and design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on and therapeutic interventions to maximize patient mobility and independence
• Document clinical findings and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members to coordinate optimal care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional strategies
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a patient-centered culture

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in Maryland (or eligible to obtain one)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Experience in outpatient/rehab settings preferred; confident treating a broad adult caseload
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and a positive team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work full-time day shift coverage and manage a varied patient load

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's in Physical Therapy accepted if applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Experience with gait training, balance interventions, and functional mobility training
• Comfortable using common modalities and assistive devices to advance patient outcomes
• Clear and compassionate communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Proficient documentation skills and ability to learn facility EMR systems quickly
• Time management and caseload prioritization to deliver efficient, high-quality care
