Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night shift); rotating schedule that includes weekends (4 weekend shifts per schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms to detect and respond to cardiac changes quickly
- Administer and titrate IV cardiac drips (including diltiazem and amiodarone) safely and accurately
- Manage continuous BiPAP and other respiratory support devices for patient comfort and safety
- Provide post-cardiac catheterization and stent implant nursing care and close observation
- Document assessments, interventions and responses in Meditech with timely accuracy
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners and the care team to implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, treatments and recovery plans
- Prioritize patient safety, maintain appropriate patient ratios and escalate concerns when needed
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas or compact multistate license eligible
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry or acute cardiac nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Demonstrated competency with IV cardiac drips (diltiazem, amiodarone) and ECG rhythm interpretation
- Experience with continuous BiPAP management and post-cardiac catheterization care
- Comfortable using Meditech or similar electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Education
- Active RN license (Texas or compact) required
- ADN or BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Administration and monitoring of IV cardiac drips (diltiazem, amiodarone)
- BiPAP/ventilatory support management
- Post cardiac catheterization and stent care
- Proficient documentation in Meditech
- ACLS and BLS life support protocols
- Acute cardiac care and stroke awareness
