Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and accounting reports to keep the hospital’s books accurate
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure clean month-end close
- Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions with attention to detail
- Support month-end and year-end close activities and produce timely documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits, internal controls, and compliance efforts
- Streamline accounting processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Communicate financial findings clearly to stakeholders and help drive informed decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus or candidates working toward CPA are encouraged to apply
- Hands-on experience with general ledger reconciliation, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Comfortable with accounting systems and ERPs; experience with systems like Oracle or PeopleSoft is a benefit
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site at Centennial Medical Center and collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Financial statement preparation and review
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
- Effective written and verbal communication with non-financial stakeholders
- Time management and the ability to meet month-end deadlines
