Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour nights). Schedule includes 12-hour night coverage with a weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule. Night shift; floating to other ICU units, IMC, and ED Hold area as needed.

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-acuity critical care to adult CVICU patients, making every shift count
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator settings for complex patients
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data using Swan-Ganz/PA catheters and arterial lines
• Operate and manage advanced therapies including IABP and CRRT with confidence
• Perform and manage bedside procedures such as central line placement, chest tube management, thoracentesis, and assist with intubation/extubation
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate with the charge nurse, multidisciplinary team, and specialists to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain safe patient ratios (1:1 and 1:2) and escalate concerns promptly to support patient safety

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state requirements applicable)
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience — must have recent critical care practice
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Proven experience with ventilator management, IABP, CRRT, Swan-Ganz/PA catheter, arterial and central lines
• Open heart surgery recovery experience preferred
• Comfort performing bedside invasive procedures and working autonomously in a high-acuity unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care nursing knowledge and clinical judgment
• Advanced ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Proficiency with CRRT and IABP therapies
• Experience working with Swan-Ganz/PA catheters, arterial lines, and central lines
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation and electronic charting
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
