Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage complex ventilator settings and titrate oxygen therapies to optimize respiratory status
- Administer and titrate IV vasoactive and sedation medications safely (e.g., Levophed, Epinephrine, Propofol, Precedex)
- Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and manage PA catheters as needed
- Provide skilled bedside critical care including intubation support, chest tube care, bronchoscopy and line insertions
- Implement targeted temperature management (TTM) and other post-arrest care protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as CRRT, rapid infusers, Arctic Sun and IV pumps
- Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Deliver compassionate, high-acuity nursing care at a 1:2-3 patient ratio while prioritizing patient safety
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Active RN license (state requirements for travel assignments apply)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and advanced hemodynamics
- Comfort with ICU procedures and technologies (PA catheter management, TTM, CRRT, arterial/central line care)
- Ability to work rotating nights and scheduled weekends; team player with strong clinical judgment
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in ventilator modes, Hi-flow, BiPAP and CPAP therapies
- Skilled in IV medication administration and titration of vasopressors/inotropes
- Proficient with Meditech documentation and electronic charting
- Knowledge of targeted temperature management and post-cardiac arrest care
- Familiarity with CRRT, rapid infusers, Arctic Sun and other ICU equipment
- Competence in assisting with bronchoscopy, EGD/colonoscopy and wound debridement
- Strong assessment, prioritization and critical thinking skills under pressure
- Excellent interdisciplinary communication and patient/family education abilities
