Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams across ED/Trauma, portable settings, and the OR
- Operate portable X-ray equipment safely and efficiently at the bedside
- Collaborate with ED, OR, and trauma teams to prioritize timely imaging for critical patients
- Ensure accurate patient identification, positioning, and radiation safety for every exam
- Document studies and patient interactions clearly in Cerner and departmental records
- Maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot basic issues, and report technical concerns
- Provide compassionate patient care and effective communication to patients and families
- Participate in unit-based initiatives to improve workflow and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiologic technologist experience, with ED/Trauma and portable X-ray experience preferred
- Experience with OR imaging and sterile/aseptic protocols highly desirable
- Arizona radiology license preferred (having AZ license in hand is a plus)
- Comfortable working evening and night rotations, including assigned weekends
- Excellent patient care, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced acute setting
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree or equivalent preferred)
- Completion of clinical competencies required for ARRT registration
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and patient positioning
- Proficient with portable X-ray technique and bedside imaging workflows
- Familiarity with Cerner charting and electronic imaging documentation
- Understanding of radiation safety, infection control, and OR imaging protocols
- Ability to prioritize in trauma/ED situations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance awareness
