Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (day) and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night); schedule set by manager with block scheduling options, includes every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation (night-focused openings available)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop clear, actionable care plans
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy and infusion pumps safely and accurately
- Titrate drips (insulin, heparin, Levophed, etc.) following protocols and standing orders
- Interpret telemetry strips and document rhythms as the bedside RN (no dedicated monitor techs)
- Manage respiratory treatments and equipment including high-flow, CPAP/BiPAP and Hamilton C1 support (not ventilated long-term)
- Collaborate with the charge nurse, ER team, CNAs and PCTs to provide seamless patient care
- Support swing-bed patients and assist across the unit — versatility is key in a critical access setting
- Document thoroughly in MEDITECH and contribute to smooth shift handoffs
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (state of practice) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care / med-surg experience
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NIHSS required; TNCC required if primarily working ER
- Comfortable titrating drips and managing infusion pumps
- Telemetry experience and ability to read/interpret strips independently
- Experience with MEDITECH charting and Mindray monitors a plus
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, float to the ER when needed, and participate in weekend/holiday rotations
- First-time traveler welcome — open to candidates new to travel assignments
Education
- Active RN license (Associate or Diploma acceptable)
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Medication administration and IV/infusion management
- Drip titration and familiarity with common drips (insulin, heparin, vasopressors, amiodarone)
- Telemetry strip interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Familiarity with Mindray monitors and MEDITECH charting
- Comfort managing respiratory equipment: high-flow, CPAP/BiPAP, Hamilton C1 familiarity
- Teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a small hospital setting
- Ability to multitask across med-surg, swing-bed and occasional ER duties
