Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents: bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with meal service and ensure residents' dietary needs are met with dignity
• Support daily living activities to promote independence and a positive experience
• Document care activities accurately and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — North Carolina preferred or eligible to transfer
• Active basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Reliable background check and up-to-date immunizations (facility requirement)
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and resident assistance best practices
• Skill in safe patient transfers and use of mobility equipment
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Comfortable with electronic or paper charting and shift documentation
