Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the assigned evening shift
- Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge needs
- Maintain meticulous charting in the facility electronic health record
- Adhere to infection control policies and facility protocols to ensure patient safety
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — LPN is primary for this posting
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift reliably
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Previous clinical experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN) or registered nursing (RN) program
- Relevant state licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical observation skills
- Safe medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
- Infection prevention and control practices
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
- Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
