Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Take and record vital signs accurately and consistently
• Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance with proper body mechanics
• Document care provided in a clear, timely manner to support care continuity
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Support resident dignity and independence through respectful communication and attention

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Comfortable with hands-on resident care and lifting/transfer techniques
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and reliable attendance

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
• Good observation and reporting skills for changes in condition
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Infection control and safety best practices
• Effective verbal communication and compassionate bedside manner
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
