Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Assist with vital signs, feeding, and daily living activities while observing and reporting changes
• Document resident care accurately and timely to maintain clear communication across the care team
• Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and skin breakdown
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver resident-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and resident hygiene needs
• Skill in safe resident transfers, ambulation assistance, and use of assistive devices
• Familiarity with vital signs, intake/output monitoring, and documentation best practices
• Understanding of infection control, HIPAA, and safety standards
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and follow care plans
