Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care: assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support a safe and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families and interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent care
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity of care
• Assist with transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and safe patient handling techniques

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screening (immunizations, TB test) per facility policy
• Reliable, caring, patient-focused attitude and strong teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of activities of daily living and basic nursing care
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
• Familiarity with infection prevention practices and PPE use
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns to licensed nursing staff promptly
• Basic charting/record-keeping skills; willingness to learn facility electronic documentation
