Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) to promote patient dignity
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team to ensure timely interventions
• Assist with meal service and feeding, honoring patient preferences and dietary needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations to keep the care team informed
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Offer emotional support and friendly companionship to residents and patients — small moments matter

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility for adult and geriatric patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be part of a close-knit care team
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of ADLs, patient transfers, and basic vital sign measurement
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Comfortable with basic documentation and communicating observations clearly
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with residents and families
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a busy shift
