Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents including bathing, dressing and mobility assistance
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while preserving dignity and independence
- Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support meal service and ensure safe feeding practices as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Help create a warm, welcoming environment that promotes resident well-being and comfort
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
- Valid CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-focused, respectful care
- Reliable, professional attitude with the ability to work evenings
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screening requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in personal care tasks and safe patient handling
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Comfortable with documentation and communicating observations to clinical staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, empathetic bedside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented long-term care setting
