Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Assist nursing staff with treatments, transfers and safe mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident changes accurately and promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Support mealtime needs, including feeding assistance and meal documentation
• Communicate clearly with the care team and families to support continuity of care
• Document resident care and observations in electronic or paper charts as required
• Demonstrate respect and dignity for residents, promoting independence when possible

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to complete facility-required screenings
• Ability to pass background check and any facility-specific onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing and toileting
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs and documenting changes
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling techniques
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with residents and staff
• Basic charting and electronic health record familiarity preferred
