Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly to ensure safe care
• Take and record vital signs and other observations accurately and timely
• Maintain clear, respectful documentation and communication with the care team
• Support mealtime, toileting, and mobility needs while promoting dignity and independence
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures to protect residents and colleagues
• Assist in transfers, repositioning, and safe use of equipment to prevent falls and injury
• Contribute to a warm, friendly atmosphere that helps residents feel at home

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and able to coordinate with team schedules
• Willingness to complete facility-required health screenings and background checks
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and ADL support with attention to dignity and comfort
• Basic vital sign measurement and clinical observation
• Clear, professional documentation and effective communication with nursing staff
• Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
• Teamwork, reliable time management, and the ability to follow care plans
• Comfort with learning facility processes and electronic charting systems
