Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility while promoting dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and fall prevention initiatives to keep residents secure
- Document care clearly and timely in the resident chart to ensure continuity
- Communicate concerns and observations to nurses and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Participate in resident engagement and comfort measures to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA) or eligible to obtain one
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar care setting is a plus
- Able to pass background check and drug screen as required
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Infection control practices and safe handling procedures
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Safe transfer and positioning techniques
- Clear communication and teamwork with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
