Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and support with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support restorative and rehabilitative programs under nurse direction

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the operating state (or eligible for state certification)
• Completed state-approved CNA training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care techniques
• Familiarity with infection control, safety procedures, and charting fundamentals
• Ability to take and accurately document vital signs
• Comfortable assisting with mobility, transfers, and bedside care
• Teamwork-oriented with good time management and prioritization skills
