Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and ADLs
• Monitor and record vital signs and any changes in condition with accuracy
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document care and observations clearly in the chart/EHR to keep the care team informed
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and family members to coordinate care
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff
• Help create a respectful, dignified environment that preserves resident independence

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (state-certified)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude with strong communication and empathy

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living
• Basic vital sign measurement and monitoring
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear, timely documentation and charting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
