Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with meal service and feeding while following dietary guidelines
- Document care provided accurately and timely in resident charts
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
- Active or eligible to obtain Pennsylvania CNA certification
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care best practices
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics
- Familiarity with infection control standards and PPE use
- Comfortable with accurate charting and basic documentation
- Strong observational skills to notice and report clinical changes
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to build rapport with residents
