Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention measures
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' comfort and dignity
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members about resident status
- Document care activities in the patient chart in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Valid state credentials for Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain state certification
- Compassionate patient-centered attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to follow facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a direct care role preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observations
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Good documentation practices and attention to detail
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment

This is a travel contract role in historic Gettysburg — when you’re off shift you can explore Gettysburg National Military Park and the battlefield, visit the Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center, take a guided historic walking or ghost tour of downtown, tour the Eisenhower National Historic Site, enjoy local wineries and farm-to-table dining in Adams County, and find scenic hiking and cycling routes nearby. Hershey and the PA Dutch Country are also within day-trip distance for weekend adventures.
