Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities and dignity-preserving support
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and toileting while promoting independence
• Monitor resident status and document changes accurately and promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lift techniques
• Communicate clearly with nurses, therapists and families to support coordinated care
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment following infection control practices
• Participate in care planning and contribute observations that improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active ability to work in Pennsylvania (licensure/registration as applicable)
• Comfortable with basic charting/recordkeeping; accuracy matters
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and relevant health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred but not always required — we’ll help where we can

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and resident assistance
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting or paper documentation
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Infection prevention and hygiene best practices
• Clear communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
• Observation skills to notice changes in condition and report them
